You Started A Business ‘Cause You’re Craving More

More freedom. More fulfillment. More impact…

…with maybe a little less of that “hustle & grind” culture keeping you from the freedom you started your business for.

I’m Ben Easter, and my passion is helping business owners turn up the dial in their business with mindset, momentum, and lots of fun along the way.

My first business started in Junior year of high school, and I’ve learned a thing (or 10) about what it really takes to grow something meaningful, minus bottlenecking yourself in the process.

But my story starts long before I became a business owner.

Funny Enough, My First Mindset Coach Was My Golf Teacher

But I didn’t just play golf, it was my outlet. Golf’s a mentally and physically challenging sport, and it was something I really enjoyed progressing at.

Lessons were expensive, and while I was lucky enough to find a generous coach with a scholarship program, it wasn’t without strings. “If you want to train with me, you need to read the Deepak Chopra books about the healing power of the mind,” he said.

As I’m sure you can imagine, mindset books weren’t exactly on my teenage bucket list, but I gave it a try. And what I learned surprisingly stuck with me forever.

It talked about the way our thoughts shape our reality, the power of belief during our  performances, and the idea that my mindset could be trained just like my golf swing.

This Mindset Work Came At The Right Time, Before A Massive Head Injury At 19

My head injury completely changed the way I experienced the world.

I wasn’t aware of it at the time, but I developed a stutter, had trouble understanding people, and social interactions (something I’d always enjoyed) suddenly became so hard to navigate. I felt like I was walking around with broccoli in my teeth without anybody to tell me.

It was isolating. And honestly, very depressing for me. I felt like my brain was broken and that nothing I could do would ever fix it.

What I didn’t realize was that this injury would be one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

My Brain Injury Led Me To A Path Of Self-Discovery

Things weren’t going great for me, and a good friend noticed how much I was struggling. He had recently learned about a field of study called social dynamics, and offered me a book on the subject, thinking it could help.

Social dynamics completely blew my mind. It’s about how people understand and interact with others, and this (combined with my desire to have a girlfriend) sent me on a 10-year journey to redevelop my social skills. Why do we act the way we do? What draws us to people? What actually helps us change? How do we become better versions of ourselves?

I was learning all of this while building businesses. I ran a candy vending company and a concierge service, and ultimately, I started an acupuncture clinic after earning my degree in Chinese medicine. But as much as I enjoyed helping people heal physically, what I felt most passionate about were the conversations with my patients.

The curiosity, the puzzle of what people needed in order to feel whole…that’s where I thrived. And randomly when I was helping a friend through his breakup, he stopped, looked at me, and  said, “Dude…have you ever thought about being a coach?”

It felt like a lightning bolt. ‘Cause yes, I had. After this I never looked back.

Coaching Gave Me My “Hell Yes” Life

Coaching was the integration of everything I’d studied and lived. From my fascinations with mindset work and social dynamics to helping people turn up the dial in their personal and professional lives, coaching felt like a catalyst I had been unknowingly moving towards.

While I was coaching during this time period, the problem I faced was that I was still working for other people and growing their dreams, not my own. I felt like there was MORE waiting for me, and in 2020 I decided to put my first real business investment on a credit card (talk about nervous!)

So I sold, coached, and worked through every ounce of mindset garbage that came up. And by the middle of 2020, I had a full coaching practice and a business I was insanely proud of.

And between us, I would’ve rather lived under a bridge than work for somebody else ever again.

This Led Me To Lucid Shift Coaching

When I decided to build something together, the name Lucid Shift Coaching was created. Not from some clever business brainstorming, but because Lucid Shift is a reflection of everything we believe about change.

Think about being in a dark attic with a flashlight. You can aim the beam wherever you want, but only in one direction at a time. When you intentionally shine your light on one path, the way suddenly becomes clear.

That’s a Lucid Shift.

The business is named for the power of light to change things. Not because something outside of you changes, but because you illuminated the parts of yourself that were waiting to be seen, so your life can shift into something freer and more aligned.

I Believe That Every Entrepreneur Deserves Freedom

And if you’re after this type of freedom, it doesn’t just start with strategies and blueprints. It starts from the inside out. Here’s what I know for certain:

When you feel clear in your mind, you show up differently in your business. When you feel safer in your body, you take braver action. When you embrace love and curiosity, evolution and play can lead you to freedom.

This ^^^ is what I want for you.

Not just more customers, more hustling, or a business that checks all of the “success” boxes on paper. I want you to feel FREE. To be lit up by what you’re creating. To trust yourself and know that you’re capable of so much more than your fear gives you credit for.

Are You Ready For Your “Hell Yes!” Life?

The truth is, if you’re here reading this, you’re probably in that place where you want something to shift.

Maybe you’re tired of feeling thissss close to your next level in business.Maybe you’ve tried every “proven” strategy out there and still aren’t seeing the results you’re after. Maybe you’re ready to move past all the mind garbage and feel better in not just your business, but your life too.

When you’re stuck in this place, what you don’t realize is just how CLOSE you are to vaulting these hurdles.I want to walk beside you as you uncover what’s actually keeping you stuck and help you move through it with clarity, confidence, and momentum. ‘Cause when you have an aligned mindset, useful tools, and people in your corner reminding you of who the hell you are…You get a business that’s sustainable, successful, and freeing.

THAT is the success I want for you.
